Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic requiring classes to be taught online, CAIIS is offering support for those seeking ideas for better engaging with their students in the virtual classroom. CAIIS is planning an Online Teaching Symposium this summer to help faculty meet the needs of enriching the online learning experience. Do you have a special tool, technique or strategy you would be willing to share in a 15-20 minute presentation with other American Indian and Indigenous Studies instructors? If so, CAIIS is offering $1,000 to each instructor to share their tools, techniques and what they have learned about engaging students with online learning (up to 10 presenters).
We anticipate that this symposium will take place during the week of August 31 – September 3, 2020. Date(s) and time(s) will be determined by participants’ schedules.
