More info to come!!!
Orientation week last year was a blast-we hope we hope you will join us next year!
Activities
Over the course of the school year the NUW Scholars will gather weekly for presentations, workshops, community building, and field trips. The activities will range from informative presentations on scholarships and financial aid to visits to nearby Native spaces including Daybreak Star, the Duwamish Longhouse, and the Suquamish Museum. There will also be beading classes, drum making and other cultural activities planned throughout the year. Most importantly, NUW Scholars is a community of support for you in your first year at UW.
Our Community
NUW Scholars brings together Native and Indigenous students, staff and faculty! We are here to help you connect and build community. You will get to know students, staff, and faculty from American Indian Studies and other departments across campus. We are particularly excited about helping you explore the fields you are interested in and connecting you with mentors in those departments.
Our Indigenous Family Lunches
Please join us for our monthly Indigenous Family Lunches the first Tuesdays of the month. Hosted by CAIIS and wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ these lunches are an Informal opportunity
